Get in the Christmas spirit with Omega!

The most festive holiday is just around the corner and if you (still) don’t know what to give, here are some high-end gift ideas from Omega. The two red gold models offer exquisite style paired with cutting-edge technology, a lovely combination for the holidays. For Her, there’s the luxurious Ladymatic with almost 900 diamonds, while gents will be thrilled with the more tech-packed De Ville Chronograph.

The Ladymatic comes in a petite 34 mm case, made of 18 carat red gold and adorned with 894 diamonds. You won’t miss them – the abundance is clearly visible on the bezel, as well as on the bracelet. Just in case that wasn’t enough, Omega put the same gems on the side of the watch, arranged in a wave pattern. On the other hand, things get somewhat simpler on the dial. No numerals here, instead there are diamonds (again) serving as indexes. Finally, a date display sits at 3 o’clock position, completing the visual impression of this deep brown dial.

Gorgeous dial and diamonds? Can't go wrong there

Inside this luxurious timepiece is the Omega Co-Axial caliber 8521, one of the finest mechanical watch movements in the world. And if you thought this watch is all about looks, you’re mistaken. The company equipped Ladymatic with the exclusive Si14 silicon balance spring, which gives the watch exceptional resistance to external shock and other disturbances. So you don’t have to worry about being careful around this piece – it’s built to last, not just to be looked at.

Brown leather and red gold for that classic feel

Diamonds are not something that the De Ville Chronograph can brag about, but that certainly doesn’t mean it’s any less stylish and elegant! The timepiece features the same 18 carat red gold as seen on the Ladymatic, but this time in a bigger edition. At 42 mm, the case is quite large, but not too much. And as we move on to the dial, the classic feel becomes even more emphasized. The Roman numerals give the watch a timeless design, but so do the two sub-dials; at 3 o’clock there is a chronograph sub-dial which has 60-minute and 12-hour counters, while on the 9 o’clock position we’re welcomed by the small seconds hand.

The watch also has a central chronograph seconds hand, together with 18K gold diamond-polished, facetted central hour and minute hands. See, there are diamonds here after all! Inside this timepiece is the Omega Co-Axial caliber 9301 with the same Si14 silicon balance spring seen in the Ladymatic. What completes the De Ville is the brown leather strap, which nicely matches the overall style of the watch and emphasizes its beauty. The strap is something that will appeal to those who seek classic styling, and with this watch, they’re definitely going to get it.

Looks like it could last forever, doesn't it?

Both Ladymatic and De Ville Chronograph present excellent luxury options for Christmas gifts. No doubt about it, whoever receives one of these is one lucky girl/guy! But in the end, it doesn’t say anywhere you can’t buy one for yourself, so there’s an idea for treating yourself with something exceptional. Just make sure you have enough dough in the bank, otherwise this Christmas won’t be so merry!
