Hublot loves winter! :) The Swiss manufacturer has recently joined forces with several renowned luxury ski resorts, including Zermatt, in the Swiss Alps, and Courchevel 1850, in the French Alps. In each of the places Hublot has launched a chalet styled boutique. By partnering with some of the world’s most iconic ski resorts, the company continues to strengthen its relationship with the Mountain culture. Today Hublot is proud to announce a new collaboration with Bansko ski resort, Bulgaria’s most prestigious ski resort. To celebrate this partnership, the watchmaker is launching a new dedicated edition: the Classic Fusion Aerofusion special edition Bansko (ref. 525.NX.0179.LR.BSK17). Limited to 25 pieces, this watch will be presented at the Snowboard World Cup on January 26th, 2018. The timepiece will be available exclusively at E&S boutiques in Sofia and Bansko.

Bansko offers great snow conditions and many hours of sunshine in a stable, 4-5 months long winter season


Located in south-western Bulgaria, Bansko is ranked among one of the top 10 ski destinations in the world. Its slogan “Unlimited ski and fun” highlights the numerous choices that can be experienced during the vacation there. The guests can enjoy in ultimate relaxation as well in various cultural and sporting activities. Offering exceptional snow conditions and many hours of sunshine, it is one of the most attractive winter sport resorts in Eastern Europe. As the resort’s official timekeeper, the Swiss watchmaker will be featured on premium advertising positions and at various locations around in the retreat. Several Hublot clocks will be displayed in key sections such as the start station for the gondola lifts and in Hotel Kempinski’s Grand Arena Bansko. The brand will also be featured throughout the giant screens and on the jackets of the ski school.

Now back to the watch, shall we? Featuring the colors of the resort – blue and yellow – the new Hublot Classic Fusion Aerofusion special edition Bansko (ref. 525.NX.0179.LR.BSK17) is housed in a 45mm titanium case. Water resistant up to 5 ATM (50 meters), the satin-finished and polished case has transparent sapphire case back. The case back ring is engraved with “SPECIAL EDITION” + “XX/25” while the glass itself features the Bansko logo. Underneath the front sapphire glass we have a beautiful open-worked dial with polished rhodium-plated appliques and hands, and yellow accents. The dial displays hours, minutes, small seconds at 3 and 30-minute chronograph counter at 9 o’clock. Completing the dial we have the date window sitting at 6 o’clock.

The new Hublot Classic Fusion Aerofusion special edition Bansko is powered by the brand’s in-house caliber HUB1155 with 60 jewels. Composed of 207 components, this self-winding chronograph movement operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and offers a power reserve of approximately 42 hours. The Classic Fusion Aerofusion special edition Bansko is presented on a sporty yet stylish blue alligator and rubber strap with yellow stitching. Secured with a stainless steel deployant buckle clasp, the strap is evocative of the colors of a sunny ski afternoon. Hublot has not yet confirmed the price of the watch.
