In the past couple of weeks we have seen the brand establishing new and strengthening existing partnerships with several prestigious ski resorts. One of such is the renowned French ski resort of Courchevel. Yesterday, at the heart of this iconic ski resort, Hublot unveiled its latest winter-themed watch: the Big Bang Alps. Introduced more than ten years ago, Hublot’s Big Bang has become has become the benchmark of versatility in Swiss watchmaking. The brand’s “art of fusion” concept – an idea of combining different watchmaking materials – is best represented in this collection. For the new Big Bang Alps watches, Hublot’s engineers and watchmakers have developed several new materials. Each model features a case and bezel made of frosted carbon – an innovative material formed from an aggregate of small pieces of rock that give the illusion of granite. Granite is widespread throughout the Alps. In the Swiss part of the Alps, the most famous mountain is the Matterhorn (4478 m). Its distinctive shape was the inspiration behind the new Big Bang Alps pieces.
