A little over a year ago, we saw Bell & Ross introduce the third generation of its acclaimed Vintage collection. Unlike most of the brand’s watches, which feature the signature “circle within a square” design, the models from the Vintage series are characterized by their classical round shape. Since 2017, Bell & Ross has presented several third-gen Vintage models, mostly chronographs and time only models. Now the French watchmaker is adding a new functionality to the range – the GMT function. Highly useful and easy to use, GMT watches are considered to be ideal companions for not only professional air pilots but also globetrotters.

According to Bell & Ross, the new BR V2-93 GMT 24H is a “tool watch” designed for modern and chic frequent travelers. With its latest model, the French brand has gone back to basics, returning to its “form follows function” philosophy. The shape and design of the watch are dictated by its use.

The watch is able to display the time in three separate time zones

Thanks to its bi-directional 24-hour scale bezel, the BR V2-93 GMT 24H is able to display the time in three separate time zones. The three white hands indicate time in one time zone. The arrow-shaped GMT hand that rotates around the dial in 24 hours shows a second time zone (or the local time on a 24-hour scale). Finally we have the bi-directional 24-hour scale bezel which can either be used for reading of the second time zone or displaying a third time zone. Rotating the bezel to the left adds hours while the opposite subtracts them. The anodized aluminum bezel is divided into two sections – the grey part displays daytime while the black background indicates night-time. The BR V2-93 GMT 24H is the very first Bell & Ross model to feature a bi-color bezel.
