The house of Perrelet is pleased to announce the arrival of two new exciting watches – the Turbine Macau & the Turbine Monte Carlo. Designed for card game enthusiasts, the new Perrelet models are the latest additions to the brand’s acclaimed Turbine XL Vegas collections. Introduced in 2014, this series is inspired by the elegant world of casino and entertainment. The Turbine Macau and Turbine Monte Carlo, as their names imply, celebrate two of some the most iconic casino cities in the world. Limited to 100 pieces each, the latest Perrelet watches are now available to buy from the brand’s official distributors and authorized dealers. The Swiss manufacturer has yet to reveal the pricing.

Both models are limited to only 100 pieces

The Perrelet Turbine Macau has a 44 mm black PDV-treated steel case. The watch’s round case is water resistant to 50 meters and features a sapphire caseback engraved with the individual limited edition number. Beneath the signature anodized aluminum blades lies a beautiful black subdial with a grayed-out wallpaper screen-print of the suits of a deck of cards. The subdial features white luminescent numerals at 3, 6, 9 and 12 o’clock. Alternating with these Arabic numerals are the four suits of a deck of cards, highlighted in either black or red. A red heart is positioned between 12 and 3 o’clock, a club sits between 3 and 6, a diamond is between 6 and 9, and finally a spade is located between 9 and 12 o’clock. Positioned around the dial is a ring with minutes indicated in black Arabic numerals. Outlined in luminescent white, they are placed at 15-minute intervals. Also placed on the flange are the red markers with white luminous numbers representing seconds. The 60-second point is represented by a green marker.

Next we have the Perrelet Turbine Monte Carlo. Slightly larger than the Turbine Macau, this model features a 48 mm case. Excluding the difference in diameter, the rest of the case is identical to the previous model. Underneath the turbine is an attractive red-and-black subdial reminiscent of a roulette wheel with alternating red and black area. The black sections feature the hour markers 3, 6, 9, and 12, while the red areas are decorated with various good luck symbols such as a dollar sign, horseshoe and four-leaf clover. The subdial is also decorated with number 777, the jackpot on an one-armed bandit slot machine. This number is also favorite at Perrelet, as the brand was established in 1777. Above the turbine is a flange with white Arabic numbers for the minutes (10-minute intervals) and red Arabic numbers for the odd-number hours. Between the aluminum blades and the dial is a sandblasted glass ring bearing the word “automatic”.

The number 777 is also of great significance for Perrelet as the brand was founded in 1777

Both Perrelet Turbine Macau & Turbine Monte Carlo are powered by the Perrelet P-331 manufacture caliber with 25 jewels. This self-winding movement works at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and enables a power reserve of 42 hours. Each model comes with a black rubber strap.  The strap on the Turbine Macau is fitted with a PDV-treated black steel folding buckle while the one on the Turbine Monte Carlo features a black PVD-treated steel ardillon buckle.
