At the beginning of 2017 we saw H. Moser & Cie. shaking up the watch industry by releasing the Swiss Mad watches. Unhappy about the new Swiss Made regulations, the independent family-run brand decided that from this year it will only produce watches that are entirely made in Switzerland. Continuing in the same manner, the company is now proud to present yet another “100% Swiss” (it’s actually a little over 95% ) timepiece – the Endeavour Perpetual Calendar Purity. The new H. Moser & Cie. watch is made as a limited edition of only 50 pieces. The Endeavour Perpetual Calendar Purity will retail for 54,000 Swiss Francs (about $53,400).
Featuring a straightforward, minimalistic design, the Endeavour Perpetual Calendar is one of the most emblematic models ever created by H. Moser & Cie. According to the brand, it is a perfect example of complexity made simple and represents “the purest, most ingenious and most practical perpetual calendar available”. With the new Endeavour Perpetual Calendar Purity, H. Moser & Cie. continues its bold #MakeSwissMadeGreatAgain approach which forgoes any branding. The watch itself represents the ultimate expression of minimalism and purity. Without logo or any unnecessary detail, the H. Moser & Cie. Endeavour Perpetual Calendar Purity features a classic, timeless elegance, proving that pure luxury doesn’t need any needless decoration.
In comparison to the previous Endeavour Perpetual Calendar models, the new H. Moser & Cie. watch comes with a slightly redesigned casing. Featuring a larger diameter of 42mm, the 18k white gold three-part case is water resistant to 30 meters. Decorated with an “M”, the 3 o’clock double crown allows the user to set the date, (without disturbing the time), time and month. The date can be easily adjusted both forward and backward, at any time of the day. On the back of the watch we have a transparent sapphire crystal case-back engraved with “X of 50″. Also positioned at the back of the case is the leap year cycle indicator as well as the adjustment push button. Thanks to the curved design of its caseback, the H. Moser & Cie. Endeavour Perpetual Calendar Purity lies perfectly on the wrist.
Beneath the front sapphire crystal lies a beautiful midnight-blue fumé dial. Decorated with sunburst pattern, it features leaf-shaped hands and applied indices at 6 and 12 o’clock. The month is displayed via a small arrow-shaped hand in the centre, the small seconds counter is placed at 6, while the 9 o’clock position is reserved for a minimalistic power reserve indicator. Completing the dial we have the slightly redesigned date window at 3 o’clock.
Powering the new Endeavour Perpetual Calendar Purity is the Calibre HMC 800 with 32 jewels. The hand wound movement beats at a frequency of 18,000 vibrations per hour and enables an impressive power reserve of 7 days. Visible through the transparent caseback, it features the signature interchangeable Moser escapement. The latest H. Moser & Cie. timepiece comes on a stylish hand-stitched black alligator leather strap. The strap features a 18k white gold folding clasp decorated with the Moser logo.
