The Harry Winston’s Ocean collection consists of timepieces that feature a modern balance of casual elegance and sophisticated watch mechanisms. Housed in luxurious gold cases, these watches features some of watchmaking’s most revered complications. The new Harry Winston Ocean Biretrograde Automatic 42mm has two of the brand’s trademark complications – off-centered hours and minutes and a double retrograde display. The hours and minute subdial is encircled by three rings of brilliant-cut diamonds. Positioned at 8 and 4 o’clock respectively, the two retrograde subdials display the small seconds and day of the week. The semi-circular counters feature diamond borders and are decorated with a beautiful wavy guilloché design evocative of tide marks in the sand. The retrograde seconds function follows the curve from zero to thirty and then instantaneously jumps to the beginning. On the other hand (no pun intended :) ), the days of the week hand moves every 24 hours and performs a sweeping jump on Sunday at midnight.
