The Spring has finally arrived! Well technically it arrived almost a month ago, but you get the idea . In celebration of the season, the Swiss watchmaker Vacheron Constantin decided to refresh its acclaimed Overseas range with 3 new watches: Overseas chronograph, Overseas 41 mm, and Overseas small model (available in 4 versions, two with a stainless steel case and two with a stainless steel case and pink gold bezel). Suitable to wear on any occasion, the new Vacheron Constantin Overseas models combine elegance with sporty look. All new Overseas watches come fitted with easily interchangeable bracelets and straps that require no tool at all.
The new Vacheron Constantin Overseas chronograph is placed inside a 42.5 mm stainless steel case. The watch is water resistant to 150 meters and has an 18K 5N pink gold bezel, crown and two push pieces at 2 and 4 o’clock. Underneath the front sapphire crystal is a translucent silver-toned lacquered dial featuring sunburst satin-finished base and snailed counters. The dial displays hours, minutes, small seconds at 9, as well as the chronograph functions including the central seconds, 30-minute counter at 3 o’clock and 12-hour counter at 6 o’clock. The date is displayed in an angled window between 4 and 5 o’clock. Powering the Overseas chronograph is Calibre 5200 with the chronograph start, stop and zero-reset functions. Visible through the transparent sapphire caseback, it features a column wheel decorated with a screw designed like the Vacheron Constantin’s iconic Maltese cross. The movement itself works at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and offers a power reserve of 52 hours. The watch is available with a brown leather or brown rubber strap.
The Overseas 41 mm also features the two-tone case like the chronograph model. But unlike on the chronograph, the translucent silver-toned lacquered dial on this model features a much simpler layout with only hours, minutes, central seconds and date opening at 3 o’clock. Inside the new Vacheron Constantin Overseas 41 mm is the Calibre 5100 that beats at 4 Hz and enables a power reserve of approximately 52 hours. Like the chronograph model, this version also comes with a brown leather and brown rubber strap.
And finally we get to the Vacheron Constantin Overseas small model. There are 4 different versions of this watch: two two-tone versions (with or without diamond-set bezel, both with silver-toned dial) and two all-steel (with rosy beige or blue dial). All dials display hours, minutes and small seconds at 9 o’clock. The Overseas small models are all powered by the Calibre 5300. Developed and manufactured by Vacheron Constantin, this self-winding movement beats at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and features a power reserve of approximately 44 hours. The two-tone versions feature brown leather and brown rubber straps. Unlike them, the all-steel models come with a stainless steel bracelet. The two-tone Vacheron Constantin Overseas small model watches are also available with a leather strap in rosy beige/blue and rubber strap in rosy beige/blue.
